2024/2025 Sanitary Lining Project

Construction Duration: December 2024 - February 2025

The City of Champlin has contracted Hydro-Klean Inc. to perform cured-in-place-pipe (CIPP) lining of portions of the City’s public sanitary sewer main. This work will structurally reline and restore the integrity of the public sanitary sewer system without the need for conventional excavation and replacement. This work will also help eliminate ground water from entering the sanitary sewer system which will save the City money on annual wastewater treatment costs.

The project will be completed in two phases. The first phase will consist of high-pressure cleaning and televising of the sanitary sewer. This work is anticipated to begin December 16th and will continue for approximately 4 weeks. The second phase is the installation of the liner. It is anticipated that the second phase will begin approximately 2-3 weeks after the cleaning work is completed and last an additional 5-6 weeks.

Residents living along the project area may experience a brief period out sewer outage needed to support the installation and curing of the public sanitary sewer mainline liner. Once complete, robotic cutters will enter the pipe and cut open/reinstate blocked lateral connections.
