Water Service Line Inventory
The City of Champlin has completed and submitted the service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT). You may also email Dave or call 763-923-7190.
A comprehensive evaluation was completed of the service line materials from the water main to the meter inside the property. This process utilized documents, records, pictures, and inspections to verify that all services were non-lead. As of 08/01/2024, our inventory contains (0) lead, (0) galvanized requiring replacement, and (0) unknown material. The systems service lines inventory of 7966 have been inventoried and are non-lead. Sewer Backup / Water Shut Off Request
If you experience a sewer backup or need your water shut off immediately, please call 763-421-0154, Monday through Friday 7 am - 2:30 pm. After hours, call Hennepin County Dispatch at 952-258-5321.
Sewer Line Cleaning
Residents who have their sewer service lines cleaned or roots cut should notify the Utility Department by filling out the Water/Sewer Issue form. An inspection of the sanitary sewer main after the work is completed may identify potential flow issues, created from the debris removed during the maintenance. Following this procedure will help to reduce blockages and backups.
