Public Accuracy Test of the Electronic Voting SystemA Public Accuracy Test, of the electronic voting system, to be used for the August 9, 2022 State Primary, will be held at the Champlin Municipal Center, 11955 Champlin Drive, on July 26, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. The test shall be observed by at least two judges, who shall not be of the same political party, and shall be open to representatives of political parties, candidates, press and the general public. 2022 Candidate FilingAffidavits of Candidacy for the offices of Champlin Mayor, City Councilmember Ward 1, and City Councilmember Ward 2, are being accepted from Tuesday, August 2, 2022 through Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at City Hall. These are four-year terms. These offices will appear on the November 8, 2022 General Election ballot. The filing fee is $5. Champlin City Code Chapter 2 – Administration, has additional information on the offices of Mayor and City Councilmember, including the annual pay rate. View the City Code. Each candidate who files for office will receive a copy of the State of MN 2022 Campaign Manual. Election Day 2022Early voting for the August 9, 2022 State Primary Election has begun. Visit City Hall during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or August 6 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. and August 8 until 5pm, to vote early.
