Join us on January 9th for our Jigsaw Jamboree event! The first session will feature a more casual atmosphere, with pizza and pop. The second session will host a more difficult puzzle with people who puzzle competitively in mind. Visit CivicRec to learn more and register. 

Trout Fishing Contest

This year's annual Champlin Trout Fishing contest will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Champlin Trout Pond (10377 French Lake Road N). This contest will run from 8am-11am. The make up date will be Saturday, February 14, 2026. Day of check-in will begin at 7:15am. Visit CivicRec to learn more and register.

Treasure Island Trip

Join us for a fun-filled day at Treasure Island Casino. Upon arrival, each guest will typically receive $20 in free slot play loaded onto a player's card and a $5 food coupon to use at participating restaurants. THIS MONTH - we will receive $10 in food coupons!

Senior January Luncheon

Join us for a delightful afternoon on January 7 of lunch and bingo! After a lunch of broasted chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy with salad and vegetables, test your luck and have fun playing bingo with friends. It's a perfect way to enjoy good food and great company. Doors open at 11:30am, lunch is served at noon and bingo follows. Registration deadline is January 1st or until full. Visit CivicRec to register.

Apply to be a warming house attendant. This position is part-time and is primarily responsible for monitoring, safety, and security of warming house participants and the warming house area.

Puzzle Exchange

Give a puzzle, get a puzzle! Do you have gently used puzzles you’ve already completed? Trade them in and pick up something new-to-you at our community puzzle exchange.  All puzzles must be in good condition with all pieces included. 

Bring your gently used puzzles to Champlin Parks & Public Works from 8am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday December 1 – December 31(closed on 12/25). You’ll receive one token for each puzzle you donate.

Come back with your tokens on Monday, January 5 between 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. to redeem them for a fresh batch of puzzles!

Winter Yoga

Our yoga classes are welcoming and accessible for all levels, especially beginners. Each class focuses on simple movements, gentle stretching, and mindful breathing to help you build strength, flexibility, and confidence at your own pace. Our instructors provide clear guidance and modifications, making it easy to start or continue your yoga journey.

Winter Taekwondo

This is a program structured to teach children the understanding of respect and discipline while learning basic Taekwondo. Classes start with a basic warm up and stretching. Classes are not progressive. Karate uniforms may be purchased at the school but are not required. Loos fitting clothing is acceptable. Register on CivicRec.
