109th Avenue Project Update – November 19, 2025

We're excited to share that 109th Avenue will reopen to traffic on November 20, 2025. Early Thursday morning, the contractor will begin removing traffic control to open all lanes on 109th Avenue and Jefferson Highway. The completion of this project is consistent with our original communication and detour graphics, which outlined work from April through November 2025. This regional transportation project, led by the City of Champlin in partnership with the City of Brooklyn Park, was fully funded through state and county grants totaling $8.3 million. No local funds were used for this project. This project design began in 2023, and we’re thrilled to see the major improvement come to fruition for the community's benefit.
