109th Avenue Project Update – October 3, 2025

East Side of Highway 169 Road Closure Notice: 

Beginning Tuesday, October 7, 2025, crews will be programming the newly installed traffic signals at Winnetka Avenue and Xylon Avenue. To safely complete this work, 109th Avenue will be closed daily from 9am to 2pm, Tuesday, October 7, through Friday, October 10. Please plan ahead and use alternate routes during this time period. The programming work will continue through Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Please plan ahead and use alternate routes during this time.

West Side of Highway 169 (near the Jefferson Highway intersection): 

Xcel Energy successfully relocated the power poles, allowing construction crews to return to the site. Crews completed the installation of underground utilities, including water and storm sewer lines. Work is now focused on building the new roadway section and roundabout. We anticipate completing the project on the west side of Hwy 169 this fall.
