109th Avenue Project Update – September 19, 2025

East Side of Highway 169 Road Closure Notice: 

Beginning Monday, September 22, 2025, construction crews will be installing new traffic signals at Winnetka Avenue and Xylon Avenue. To safely complete this work, 109th Avenue will be closed between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, September 22-25, 2025. Please plan ahead and use alternate routes during this time.

West Side of Highway 169 (near the Jefferson Highway intersection): 

Xcel Energy has successfully relocated the power poles, allowing construction crews to return to the site. This week, crews completed the installation of underground utilities, including water and storm sewer lines. Work is now focused on building the new roadway section. Curb installation for the new road and roundabout is scheduled for the week of September 22-26, 2025. We anticipate completing the project on the west side of Hwy 169 this fall.
