109th Avenue Reconstruction Project Update – April 29, 2025
Construction has officially begun on 109th Avenue, east of Highway 169, between Zealand and Winnetka avenues. The project will fully reconstruct the roadway, expanding it from two lanes to a four-lane divided road to improve safety and traffic flow.
To view the full project plan, visit the 109th Ave Reconstruction Project website.
Road Closure & Detour Information
A full road closure is now in effect, with traffic control measures and detours in place. During the first week of construction, crews will assess traffic control signage and make necessary adjustments to improve safety and efficiency. Additional signage in adjacent neighborhoods will be installed to limit access to Local Traffic Only in key locations. View Detour Map (PDF)
