The Environmental Resources Commission is excited to host a city-wide recycling event.
You must be a Champlin resident to bring in materials. The city reserves the right to limit the number of items accepted from one household.
- PAPER SHREDDING - no charge - Maximum of six grocery bags/three banker boxes of material.
- ELECTRONICS - $0.35 per pound - All types of electronics including televisions, computers, cell phones, landline phones, calculators, printers and more.
- SCRAP METAL - no charge - Used scrap metal including grills, swing sets, trampolines, gutters and eaves, door and window frames, tire rims, etc (all glass, rubber, plastic, etc. must be removed).
- TIRES - $5 per tire - Only car and light truck passenger vehicle tires are accepted.
- PROPANE AND HELIUM TANKS - $25 per tank
- CAR BATTERIES - no charge
- HOUSEHOLD BATTERIES - $1.20 per pound - Examples are alkaline Ni-mh, li-on, Ni-cd.
