Community Development Department

The Community Development Department is responsible for planning, zoning, site & building inspection, rental housing licensing, code enforcement and economic development activities.

The Department's primary objective is to plan for the City's future, while guiding current growth and development and implementing codes and standards. The Department supports the Planning Commission, Economic Development Authority, City Council and other ad hoc committees as assigned. Responsibilities are divided among three working divisions: Planning and Zoning, Building Inspection, and Economic Development.
